During the International Family Week, The Mean Ant invites children and adult companions in UGM to learn in the playful, more sensual way, about the large and small concrete sculptures that embellish different spaces on the left and right banks of Maribor.

They were created in the second half of the 20th century as part of the Forma Viva sculpture symposium, which means living form. This time we will not travel around the city, we will be able to grasp the diminutive statues right into our hands and delve into their “living” forms and meanings. We will also try our hand at sculpting and create sculptural works to help you decorate your home. The activity is also adapted for the blind and partially sighted. The creation is free.

The creation is the result of the TACTUS II project led by Doc. dr. Jerneja Herzog (Faculty of Education, University of Maribor). The TACTUS II project (type, activity, creativity, team, art, blindness) is part of the program "Project work with non-economic and non-profit sector in the local and regional environment - Student Innovative Projects for Social Benefit 2016-2020", co-financed by the Republic of Slovenia and European Union from the European Social Fund.
