How are we to understand the monuments of the socialist era today; what can we do with them; and why do we love to hate them?

In the 1960s and 70s the situation in Slovenia differed greatly from that in America. Not only did we no longer dream about capitalism, the self-governing socialism was based on shared ownership. Slovenia is too small for Warholian fame, but the power of propaganda was known in Yugoslavia. POP in Slovene visual art was not a state export, it was not even a formal movement, for it was wrapped in silence and has remained almost entirely invisible until today.

Nowadays is possible to talk about tradition, intuition, ideology... liberal. Both artists from Slovenia and China speak out of the borders of stereotypes and have conscience of individual position at this place and this time.

It all started with his collaboration with the OHO movement and art group (1965-71), followed by the foundation of the farming and artistic community Šempas Family. The following book is published to enrich our knowledge about surrounded places, from Pohorje to Kozjak.
