Vojko Štuhec
The catalogue presents the latest series of Štuhec's figure sculptures, which are simplified to its extremes and purified in its forms. Štuhec remains faithful to his selection of themes and its interpretation, which remain melodic, rounded and smoothly running, but on the other hand seems to renounce his creative principles of his already passed creative way, as the abstract and monumental was replaced by the intimate format. In the catalogue, Milojka Kline notes: »The presented sculptures reveal virtual paradoxical duality of their nature. The monolithic feature of the sculptural mases and the distinctive static nature create in spite of relatively small or even minute dimensions a feeling of monumentality. At the same time exactly these formats , intended for interiors, convey a strong poetic charge emphasised by the beauty of soft and fine shapes.«
