Under the title Made in Maribor, the Maribor Art Gallery displays the core of Maribor's creative culture for the second time. This time, more than 40 artists have worked together to focus on space in the broadest possible perspective, both literally and creatively-symbolically. Made in Maribor's initial edition emphasised the importance of the art market as a key space deficiency, but this time the exhibition's curator addressed the audience in a somewhat different way: "Each participant was given a cubic template with a variety of connotations. However, with this innovative-experimental project, I want to emphasise the importance of integration—by contemplating on communal and individual identity, as well as restrictions and freedom. I believe our lives have been changed as a result of our experiences over the last two years, and we will want to discuss it."
The exhibition provides visitors with the unique opportunity of seeing the range and variety of Maribor's creative space.
The exhibition includes work by more than 40 artists, including:
Saša Bezjak, Natalija Juhart Brglez, Matija Brumen, Nenad Cizl, Dragica Čadež, Ksenija Čerče, Bogdan Čobal, Andrej Brumen Čop, Natalija R.
