The association Otto-Prod / La Vitrine presents the summer exhibition Get Wet at UGM. For this original show, Otto Prod / La Vitrine has gathered artists supported through residency programs and contemporary visual art promotion programs between France and Slovenia initiated by Otto Prod / La Vitrine. Since 2006, the association is actively involved in the Maribor art scene, working in close collaboration with Pekarna Magdalenske mreže. Thanks to this invitation by UGM, an original international art initiative was born from the local alternative scenes of Maribor.

Water is the central focus of the exhibition Get Wet. Through scientific reports, political concerns and a huge media coverage, the water scarcity issue has seeped into public consciousness over the recent years. As the world is moving towards an era more focused on conservation of natural resources, the show brings together different sensitivities to this central life element. This selection of works goes beyond the strictly ecological point of view into an immoderate indulgence in water. The event offers a contemporary collection of water fantasies in which the element is back to its generous and expansive nature. While at first, the title Get Wet sounds like an order to be filled, it later echoes back to the joys of a wild party or the immersive pleasure of getting wet.

Curators: Otto-Prod / La Vitrine and Simona Vidmar, UGM Curator
The exhibition was originally planned for July-August and was postponed to September duo to change of the UGM exhibition programme.
