Contrasts are extremes that create the dynamics of life (e.g., birth–death, warmth–cold, restlessness–peace, etc.). In art, they create tension, balance, composition, emphasis, highlight the message, or evoke emotions. By looking for opposites in paintings and sculptures, we'll encourage learning about art through dialogue, and we'll be interested in how we feel these opposites in today's society or personal world.

No prior knowledge of art or art history is required to participate. The program is based on relaxed socializing and openness to new experiences.
