Where Does Fear Hide? / Printmaking Workshop / Creative Winter Holidays at UGM / ages 5 – 12

At the first holiday art workshop, we will confront fear – an emotion that can be very, very frightening, yet at the same time protects us from accidents. Like true researchers, we will look for it in works of visual art: perhaps we will discover it in the posture of a painted figure, in a facial expression, or in large and small shapes that conceal it within themselves. Once we find it, we will cut it out of cardboard, glue it onto a base, coat it with paint, and then run it through a printing press. From it, we will create our own unique artwork.
