Where darkness reigns – storytelling about artworks with dark content from the UGM Collection

At the time of year when the veil between earthly world and the spiritual realm is at its thinnest, we invite all students, young adults and other enthusiasts of the dark and the macabre to a guided tour with art history student (Faculty of Arts, University of Maribor) Jan Slaček. With the aim of presenting scenes related to death and the mysterious, we will meet in the Great Hall decorated with a 19th-century mural, where Jan will display artworks from the UGM Collection. Those will be by selected artists who have incorporated darker motifs into their art and about which Jan will provide anecdotes never heard before.
