Maribor Art Gallery introduces a website specifically targeted for the blind, colour blind and visually impaired. It is a socially responsible project through which we want to exercise the right to equal access. To users, we offer a page with software that enables blind and visually impaired people easier access to the website contents. The blind use a computer with the help of reading software that converts speech to a Braille panel. Usually, websites have no provision for these needs, which for blind persons mean that instead of the required information they can listen only to some websites elements. The new system, called eSova, designed by the company Tovarna idej, facilitates the Maribor Art Gallery website with simple searching. Automatic text enlargement enables easier reading for visually impaired users. The system offers the following advantages: access to contents with keyboard short-cuts, contrast choice for the colour blind, font size choice for the visually impaired and "smart" menus for a simpler navigation for the blind.

Simultaneously, the programme Tangible, for the blind and visually impaired, is available at Maribor Art Gallery within which, along with the retrospective exhibition by Dragica Čadež, guidance and creative workshops for the visually impaired are organised.
