We invite you to the opening of an exhibition by visual artist Tjaša Rener, on Friday, 11 July 2025 at 19:00. The artist works between Slovenia and Ghana. She will be presenting her art project, which combines a series of collages, archival photographs, installations and video.
The art on display combines a series of collages, archival photographs, installations and videos that show how migration shapes identity and cultural heritage through portraits of abstract landscapes, symbolic patterns and layered textures. The artist’s works incorporate natural elements conveyed through audio recordings, as well as traditional objects and elements that create a dialogue between the two environments. Each work embodies the universal journey of searching for connection and identity in an unfamiliar place, combining the influences of the Ghanaian way of life, centred on community, and the rich Slovenian artistic tradition.
