On the occasion of Prešeren's Day, the UGM | Maribor Art Gallery opens its doors wide and invites you to the shelter of visual art.
On the Slovenian Cultural Day, entry to the UGM will be free!
- Opening of the exhibition by Gregor Pratneker at 11.00.

Gregor Pratneker / Flowering Meadow
At 11.00 you are invited to the opening of the exhibition Flowering Meadow, featuring Maribor-based artist Gregor Pratneker. In his recent creative period, the artist has focused mainly on landscapes. Nature, especially forests, have been part of his everyday life since childhood, a place of wonder, awe and hope.
- At 13.00 we invite you to a guided tour of the exhibition Pristava-Gaberke-Veleje with the author Mladen Stropnik.

Mladen Stropnik / Pristava–Gaberke–Veleje
On the last day, catch the Pristava-Gaberke-Veleje exhibition, featuring a selection of works by Mladen Stropnik. By recording "vivid and exceptional scenes from everyday life", as the artist himself puts it, Stropnik presents humorous situations, spontaneous quirks, and an array of moods to the viewer.

Spekter. 70 Years of the UGM Collection
In the year marking our 70th anniversary, the UGM | Maribor Art Gallery invites you to come see the new hanging of our collection. The new temporary display was created by the designer David Tavčar, who over the past year combed through the museum’s collection to select over 270 works of art featured in the exhibition, some iconic, some lesser known and others shown to the public for the very first time, and arranged them across seven rooms and two halls into a singular, vibrant experience.

Lara Jeranko Marconi / The Fool
Visit the exhibition of works by Lara Jeranko Marconi, a painter and illustrator from Koper, in collaboration with the Piran Coastal Galleries. The seemingly normal context with elements of the absurd, which we perceive in the work of the coastal artist, requires the viewer’s attention and collected observation.
