A number of creatives working in the fields of visual arts, design and architecture responded to the UGM's open call for temporary art and architecture interventions at Račji dvor, including the nearby vernacular Wagner House, with innovative proposals. Selected architects, artists, students and other creatives will present their proposals for artistic/architectural interventions to reactivate Račji dvor. The day will be full of creativity, humour and uncensored ideas.

Račji dvor, a former Benedictine estate with a thousand-year history and a unique location under the city's wine-growing hills, is today mainly used as an occasional warehouse. On the green edge of the city, the mansion offers a place to reflect on its reactivation and integration back into public life.

The event is part of the reCITYing. Reactivating abandoned spaces in urban centres through architecture and art 2024-2028 project, which brings together partners from Maribor, Genoa, Barcelona, Hannover, and Montpellier, and is co-funded by the European Union. The project aims to bring together practice and theory, and to involve different experts and stakeholders in the development of creative interdisciplinary approaches to the reactivation of abandoned urban areas through visual arts and architecture.

The event will be held in English.
