We are celebrating International Museum Day and we kindly invite you to join us. Take a look at exhibitions Creatures in Recent Slovenian Sculpture, exhibition CHRONICLES / Log No. 1 and the OHO Group Award 2016. In UGM Studio take a look at Maja Smrekar's exhibition Survival Kit for the Anthropocene - Trailer. On this day we will also launch two UGM catalogues fo the current exhibitions: Creatures in Recent Slovenian Sculpture and CHRONICLES / Log. No 1.

The catalogue give us the opportunity to view a documentation of the site specific installation and of the various performances of UTTER The violent necessity for the embodied presence of hope - project by JAŠA for the Pavilion of Slovenia at 56 Venice Biennale - and to get an insight on the process that generated and guided UTTER, as shown both with the drawings, notebooks and sculptures from the Marignoli Contemporary Art Collection and the fragments from the installation exhibited at UGM Maribor Art Gallery. The catalogue, published by Editoriale Umbra and designed by Rosa Lux, has contributions by Breda Kolar Sluga and Simona Vidmar, Director and Curator from UGM; Michele Drascek, Curator of the exhibition; Duccio K. Marignoli, President of The Marignoli di Montecorona Foundation and Susan Sayre Batton, Deputy Director of the San José Museum of Art in California.
