On the occasion of the International Museum Day, the Maribor Art Gallery, together with the Maribor Horticultural Society, the Botanical Garden of the University of Maribor and the Friends of the Botanical Garden Association, is organising a guided tour to learn more about the painted flowers of Augusta Šantel Jr.
After a short presentation of the artist and the exhibition The Šantel Family of Artists: Three Women Painters in Maribor, which will be on show in the UGM Kabinet until Sunday 25 May, the guided tour will be followed by an opportunity to identify the painted flowers and to discuss the traditional arrangements of Slovenian gardens.
