We invite you to the opening of the exhibition of works by Maribor-based artist Gregor Pratneker, which will take place on Thursday, 8 February 2024, at the UGM Šop at Strossmayerjeva ulica 6. The sales exhibition The Flowering Meadow will be on view until 12 May 2024.
The artist's main focus in his recent creative period has been on landscapes. Nature, especially woodlands, have been part of his everyday life since childhood, a place of wonder, awe and hope. This time, he is reflecting on his intimate, autobiographical experiences through expressionistic painterly gestures and colour choices, often intertwined with the dripping and pouring technique. He extends his explorations beyond the forests to pastures and meadows, to small creatures.
