Emotions and Abstract Art / Drawing and Painting Workshop / Creative Winter Holidays at UGM / ages 5 – 12

When anger overwhelms us, our face may turn red and we hardly know what to do with everything we’re feeling. At that moment, we can pick up a drawing tool and release our anger through scribbling – into long, thick, tangled lines. Then we reach for colors and, with a thick or thin brush, express what we feel. Out of anger, something new can emerge – perhaps even an abstract painting. Join us in creating, where we’ll pour our emotions into colors and lines and explore how art can calm even the most turbulent feelings.
