Ivan Dvoršak’s great retrospective exhibition offers an insight into the creative life of an exceptional photographer and graphic designer whose body of works has been comprehensively evaluated for the first time. The exhibition’s main focus are images selected largely from the artist’s estate recently acquired by Maribor Art Gallery with the support of the Slovenian Ministry of Culture. The exhibition comprises around 120 black and white photographs ranging from the beginning of the 1960s to the mid-1980s (including forty original photographs on plywood panels) and a selection of Dvoršak's graphic design works. We have prepared a diverse educational programme for children visiting kindergarten, primary or secondary school. They will have the opportunity to learn about the rich cultural legacy of Maribor’s exceptional photographer Ivan Dvoršak.
EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES
GUIDED TOUR / The group will be familiarized with the author and his work. Children will have the opportunity to develop a creative and critical dialogue with the artworks and within themselves with support of our pedagogue. Duration: 45-60 minutes / Price: € 2.20 / suitable for all age groups.
GUIDED TOUR + WORKSHEET/ A guided tour of the exhibition and independent work with the handouts that encourage a curious mind and comprehensive study of the given subject. Duration: 90 minutes / Price: € 2.50 / suitable for pupils of the third triad in primary school and for secondary school
GUIDED TOUR + WORKSHOP / After the guided tour children will be able to create their own artwork and interpret and deepen their understanding of the exhibition.
Duration: 60-90 minutes / Price: € 2.50 / suitable for all age groups
CULTURAL DAYS / Duration: 120 – 180 min / Price: 3,50 / suitable for all age groups
