This year’s Creative Summer at UGM will offer children a high-quality educational content as well as a lot of fun and also will provide an opportunity to learn contemporary visual art techniques based on exhibition Earth is Flat.
Those practical workshops will be a distinctive feature of this year's summer Tuesdays at UGM.
We are going to get a close look at different paint techniques and experience with them to design our own way of expression at UGM Studio.
Tuesdays workshops will be dedicated to active and creative learning children through playing and painting with the main aim to get own understanding of painting works with modelling their own art expression filled with joy and positive attitude toward art. The workshop is appropriate for children over 4 years of age.
The price for one Tuesday workshop: 3,50 €, for 5 workshops: 12 €.
Price includes professional guiding, material and snack.
TUESDAY WORKSHOP / CUTTING, STICKING AND TEARING APART

During the first Tuesday workshop we are going to experience different ways of painting, including cutting out different shapes of material and sticking them together. With enlighting the motive of lands we are going to show the respectfulness for our environment.

This time we are going to bond inspirations of pictures and habitables and create pictures in local manner. With motive of city we are going to create idea of unity and variety.
TUESDAY WORKSHOP / PAINTING WITH PAINTBRUSH AND A LITTLE BIT WITH BROOMS

We are going to use different shapes and sizes of paintbrushes and paintbrush - brooms. This way we are going to paint different variations of animal motives.

During the last workshop in July we are going to test our creativity in grafical modelling and working on variations of matrix. In that manner we are going to create series of pictures with motive of space.

With sound and music we are going to indeep ourselves into play with colours, stripes, shapes and then create abstract images.
TUESDAY WORKSHOP / CREATING SHADOW PAINTINGS

In this workshop we are going in habitual include lights and as a consequence create shadow paintings on the floor, wall and ceiling. The motive of our habitable setting will be the secret world of human body.

With exhibition Life Goes On, Life Goes Off of the artists Gašper Kunšič and Živa Drvarič we are going to enrich our knowledge with multimedia art and combine different media.

This time we will observe and discuss about the exhibition and installation P NOT UGM, work of the artist Toni Soprano. We are going to think about the meaning of city square and create the other art ideas how to make the square more interesting.

By the exhibition Acta Non Verba of the artist group Kitsch Nitsch we are going to talk less and use more those art objects. We are also going to model painting objects and rather utilize them.
