Creative Saturday / Female artists and International Women's Day

Through the Spekter exhibition, we will learn about the work of sculptor Vlasta Zorko and photographer Zora Plešnar. We will be interested in when the first Slovenian women artists – Ivana Kobilca or Karla Bulovec Mrak – came into the art world. What did they or are they still creating? During the workshop, we will ask children to think of important women from their environment – artists, shop assistants, mothers, great-grandmothers, doctors, neighbours or bus drivers. They will be portrayed in mixed media, taking into account the characteristics of the portrait, such as the dress, attribute or background of the sitter.
