Creative Saturday / Painting by observation (Part 1)

Children aged 8-12 will take their easels, paints and brushes and go to the painting of their choice in the Spekter exhibition. They will delve into the secrets of the paintings of great Slovenian artists during two workshops, recreating their own painting on canvas. They will be able to recreate the whole motif or just a detail. We will continue painting at the next workshop on Saturday, 1 February. 

In both workshops, a younger group of children (5–7 years) will explore different painting materials and techniques - from crayons, tempera and watercolour paints to mixed media on paper, fabric, wood or foil.
