Creative Saturday / Dripping and cutting, painting workshop

Just over 150 years ago, the brothers Francesco and Felice arrived in Maribor from Italy. They were invited by Baron Hermann, who was making his home in the present UGM building. With the children (4-7) we will see the painting the brothers created on the ceiling of the Great Hall. We will answer two very important questions: how did they get upstairs and was it dripping? We will also try our hand at painting from the bottom up. Due to the dripping, we remind you to wear appropriate clothing. The 8-9 year olds will also look up through a kaleidoscope they will make themselves. We will look to the colourful compositions in the Spekter exhibition for inspiration for the collages we will insert into the device.

Workshops are led by: Brigita Strnad (group 4–8 years), Klara Zadravec and Inja Ferlež (group 9–12 years)
