Creative painting workshop for adults, Views of the city

With its picturesque location, Maribor simply invites artistic visualisations. Many artists have already transferred the cityscape into visual language. At the creative workshop led by academic painter Simona Šuc, participants will reproduce selected works from the Gallery collection. In particular, they will get to know the painting opus of Veno Pilon and Oton Polak who have mastered landscape. Later, they will research their own views of Maribor by the implementation of painting and develop a personally experienced townscape on the canvas. Special emphasis lies in the research of painting materials. Participants will build up the painting from an initial sketch to the final image. Stress will be laid upon an individual approach; therefore, no pre-knowledge of painting is required.  

price: 50 € / 35 € (members of the UGM Club); price includes all material (canvas, colours, tools and painting equipment)
