As part of the 20th Summer Museum Night we invite you to a guided tour of the exhibition of the 14th Slovenian Biennial of Illustration, which we are proud to host at the UGM.

The exhibition offers an overview of excellence, diversity and creative charge of contemporary Slovenian illustration. The exhibition presents more than 80 authors with original illustrations from recent years. In addition, visitors can browse through more than 50 books illustrated with originals from the exhibition.

The Biennial of Illustration is organised by Cankarjev dom in tandem with the Slovenian Association of Fine Arts Societies since 1993. For more than a quarter of a century, this art event has united illustrators across generations and recognised their highest achievements with the Hinko Smrekar Award and other prizes. This year, the biennial exhibition will travel to Maribor for the very first time.
