Children's Week in UGM (4+)
Discovering Heritage Through Play + Architecture & Sculpture Workshop
UGM, Strossmayerjeva ulica 6
6 October – 11 October 2026
Dear children, during Children’s Week, as part of the Discovering Heritage Through Play project, we invite you and your families to enjoy free admission to the exhibitions at UGM. Take a stroll through the colourful exhibition Spekter and visit the UGM Kabinet, where you can see the exhibition Bart Lunenburg / Window Closing, Threads Spinning, Chair Falling. Dutch artist Bart Lunenburg plays with space, architecture and everyday objects, placing them in unusual situations.
On Saturday, 10 October, at 10:00, we also invite you to a creative workshop where we will work with wood. We will assemble, connect and transform pieces of wood, using them to build our own unusual architectural and sculptural creations. What can be made from pieces of wood is limited only by your imagination!
The wood for the workshop has been kindly provided by the Secondary School of Woodworking and Forestry in Maribor.
Admission to the exhibitions and workshop is free.
The workshop is led by: Brigita Strnad (ages 4+) and Sarita Zupanc (ages 8+).
Information and registration: Brigita Strnad, brigita.strand@ugm.si, 041 57 50 50.
