ART CYCLE ROUTES
Public monuments and other traces of art in Maribor
UGM| Maribor Art Gallery, Strossmayerjeva 6, Maribor
23 and 30 July and 6, 13 and 20 August 2015 at 18:00
Join us on our afternoon cycle tours and discover public monuments and artistic interventions in Maribor. Each route will have a specific theme – Forma Viva Maribor, war memorials, monuments dedicated to famous personalities, traces of pre-20th century art in the city and and traces of 20th and 21st century art in the city.
Monuments will disclose Maribor's history, from the times of the city's industrial boom to the time of World War I and II, revive memories of public personalities who have influenced our city, and disclose contemporary art traces in Maribor. A member of the Maribor Cycling Network will be present at all tours, giving information on road security and the correct use of cycling routes.
