Closing Days of EKO 8
Festival Environment #1: Melje
Former MTT Factory
Ulica heroja Šaranoviča 36, Melje/Maribor, Slovenia
Friday + Saturday, 16 + 17 July 2021, 18:00-22:30

Join us for two days of festivities, Friday and Saturday, before the EKO 8 Triennial closes its doors on Sunday. Melje is the first environment selected as the site and focus of the renewed EKO Triennial - in future editions we will discover other, in particular neglected areas of the city and its surroundings.

In Environment #1: Melje we will explore the habitats of other living beings that coexist with us in Melje. The relationship between art and the environment will be addressed with a poster workshop in the factory and a presentation of the Eko Art Drava project. The impact of the environmental crisis on mental health is the topic of both a slam poetry live competition and a debate with the Youth for Climate Justice group. And the greenest drag queens around with be the celery on top!
