A comprehensive catalogue that provides a detailed insight into the sculptor’s diverse oeuvre accompanies the exhibition. Outlined on 230 pages are the main features of the sculptor’s body of work, which offer incentives for further research. The texts by Marjeta Ciglenečki and Breda Kolar Sluga for the first time reveal the complexity of Vlasta Zorko’s opus, while 90 colour reproductions and an attractive design consolidate two phenomena of Zorko’s practice: the sculptor succeeded to permeate the public space, traditionally favourable to men, while simultaneously withdrawing into her private realm, where for six decades she focused solely on one motif—the portrayal of women, an endeavor which is rare not only in Slovenia but also globally.
