Robot Museum
Catalogue was published next to the exhibition Robot Museum, which was held at UGM from 29 September – 6 November 2011. Robot Museum was the first comprehensive exhibition of this part of contemporary Slovenian art. It presented works by authors who have in past twenty years dealt with theme of robots in their work. Different art traditions serve as departure point for their work: new media, cybernetic and digital art, spatial installations, performance and conceptual art. Authors of articles in the catalogue present the transition from kinetic to cybernetic art, they raise questions about placement of robots as new media products in the field of arts and about the ways of musealisation of this kind of art.
