Works of the painter Karel Jiřak (1897-1982) include above all traditional fine arts themes such as landscapes, still life, figurative elements, portraits and Christian themes. Most of the works capture of Slovene and Austrian landscapes (Styrian region). The monograph presents the life and work of the artist, his developments in style and his art themes. It also includes memories of art historian Sergej Vrišer as well as a chronological review of the bibliography and catalogue of works.
