Metka Kavčič, Intertwined Traces

Interwined Traces are an ambience-designed project of the sculptor Metka Kavčič (b. 1960) inspired by the rich cultural and historical treasures of Idrija. The project connects traditional values of form with contemporary sculptural forms. The basis of this fine art project represents metallic lace elements which symbolize female psychophysical characteristics and solid wooden constructions which remind us of the male character and body. The exhibition catalogue represents lace installations in unusual materials, spaces and dimensions.
