RSR | Rotovž Exhibition Salon, Trg Leona Štuklja 2
Opening: Thursday, 25 August 2011 at 19:00
The intermedia project Red Zone focuses on body, eroticism and aggression. The artist highlights political idolatry developed by media and explores various layers of body as well as its crossing through diverse levels of symbolic discourse. At the same time he uses the power of idolatry which alienated image and body. The project is designed as an interactive installation enabling the viewers to reflect on their own corporeality.
Academic sculptor Dušan Zidar (1962) graduated and gained his MA (1991) at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana under Professor Luj Vodopivec. He is Associate Professor at Fine Arts Department at the Faculty of Education in Maribor. He lives and works in Ljubljana and Maribor.
