HOW TO MAKE THINGS BLINK, workshop for students and adults
led by: Guillaume Stagnaro, French artist
Monday, 13 January 2014 + Tuesday, 14 January 2014 at 15:00-17:00
UGM | Maribor Art Gallery, Strossmayerjeva 6, Maribor, Slovenia

The workshop, which will be led by the French artist Guillaume Stagnaro, proposes to experiment through the use of programmable electronic circuits, with the control and hijacking of daily electrical devices. For example, how to transform your bedside lamp to make it read Morse messages or how to change a fan into a wind simulator.

It is requested from each participant to bring an electrical device that plugs into 220 V (a light, drill, radio, etc. ...) in order to divert its operation and use it as an artistic intervention. If possible bring your own laptop computer. The workshop is free to attend. Please apply until Thursday, 9 January 2014, at the UGM ticket office or by calling the number +386 (0)2 2513620.

The workshop is running alongside Guillaume Stagnaro's Fluorescent Umwelt public space intervention in the former Tax Office building in Leon Štukelj Square in Maribor, 10-20 January 2014.

FREE TO ATTEND. YOU ARE KINDLY INVITED!
