Maribor Art Gallery invites you on That Happy Day of Culture to spend a day enjoying visual art! You can visit an exhibition Slovenia and Non-Aligned Pop at UGM and an exhibition of the artist Ana Pečar, Crystal Clear at UGM Studio.
Children, parents and grandparents, aunts and uncles are kindly invited to join on family workshop at UGM.
Join us on guided tour of the exhibition Slovenia and Non-Aligned Pop, curated by Ph.D. Petja Grafenauer and to editor of exhibition, Vasja Cenčič. The Slovenia and Non-Aligned Pop exhibition focuses on artwork, but it also shows other cultural products of the time. During the two years of preparation we collected literary, television, music, newspaper, design, film and advertising fragments. In an attempt to broaden the horizons and expand the possible understandings of the exhibited works and the period, we exhibited these fragments alongside the selected paintings, sculptures and graphic prints.
Ana Pečar is an artist of the young generation. Her art practice includes video, sound, performance and VJing. In her art works she has focused on the motives in nature, especially water, which has been transformated with different utterances, like swathing, covering and computer processing of clips into subtil compositions, disclosuring motives of secret, beauty and mightiness.
