Saturday workshop / Public sculpture and visitting the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Heritage of Slovenia, OE Maribor

ending: in front of Institute for the Protection of Cultural Heritage, Slomšek Square 6
During the second April workshop we are going to get familiar with different memorial monuments on Slomšek Square and on the Main Square. We are going to pay attention especially on the sculptures, monuments and paintings, which are decorating buildings and finally on the Plague Column. At the end we are going to visit the Institute for The Protection of Cultural Heritage to have a close look at the remainings of the original Plague Column. More about that, what the cultural heritage is, why and how to protect it will tell us senior conservation expert, Milena Antonič.
Price: 2,5 € / 1 € for Young Friends UGM.
Guiding tour will be led by Brigita Strnad, UGM senior curator.
In the case of rain the workshop will be cancelled.
