programme:
Creative Saturday / Hidden corners of UGM with the Mean Ant
10:00-11:00
UGM, Strossmayerjeva ulica 6

guided by: Brigita Strnad, educational programme manager
We invite all the curious to go for an adventure with the Mean Ant. Our tiny but incredibly curious ant will take you to all the hidden corners of the museum, which will reveal the purpose of our institution, everything we store and what is going on at our place. However, since our ant likes to create art we will also artistically record our impressions.

Fragility of being / express guided tour
11:00–11:30
UGM Studio, Trg Leona Štuklja 2
guided by: Andreja Borin, curator of the exhibition

Andrej Brumen Čop is a well known name in the Slovene contemporary art. Karmen Čorak has established herself as a photographer abroad. Their longstanding acquaintance, resembling living sensibility and similarly accentuated themes of their creation have naturally led both artists to exhibit together.

Impossible Machines / express guided tour
12:00–12:30
UGM, Strossmayerjeva ulica 6
guided by: Simona Vidmar, curator of the exhibition

We will view the contemporary poetic machines of the artist Meta Grgurevič with the commentary of the exhibition’s curator Simona Vidmar: “Meta's machines are immensely reassuring, they remind us of something we have always known, that the world around us is the way we think it is. Which, of course, is pure utopia.”

Ivan Kos and His Masterpiece – Girl with an Orange /express guided tour
13:00–13:30
UGM Kabinet, Strossmayerjeva ulica 6
guided by: Mojca Štuhec, UGM associate

For a long time it was believed that painter Ivan Kos depicted his youthful love Malka Nagoda. It is this exhibition that refutes this assumption. Who is the girl shrouded in the veil of mystery? The answer will be revealed by Mojca Štuhec with the help of author’s sketches, letters and other archival material.

Slađana Matič Trstenjak / express meeting and conversation with the artist
16:00–17:00 + 17:00–17:30
UGM Šop
guided by: Jure Kirbiš, curator of the exhibition

Between 16:00 and 17:00 in UGM Šop, you can meet the artist Slađana Matič Trstenjak, who will answer all the questions regarding her sales exhibition. We will conclude Prešeren Day with an express conversation with the artist, led by Jure Kirbiš, the exhibition's curator. Her artwork will be available for the last time at UGM Šop for purchase at affordable prices.
