Patchwork / Sewing and storytelling (30+)
Programme on the occasion of the exhibition Pride and Prejudice in National Costume
UGM, Strossmayerjeva 6
Thursday, 22 September 2022, 17:00–20:00

led by: Brigita Strnad, museum consultant UGM

On the occasion of the exhibition Pride and Prejudice in National Costume, we are preparing a patchwork of three generations, which will become part of the exhibition. Visitors are invited to join us in creating a patchwork and put their personal stamp on it. For inspiration, we will first look at the exhibition, learn about the meaning of national costume - a garment, a piece of clothing that is characteristic of a particular place and time and can express the identity of a particular group. The participants will use colours, shapes or patterns to tell a story about themselves as they sew. The patchwork will be on show from 4 to 23 October 2022.

Participation in the workshop is free of charge.
