Accompanying programme to the exhibition Ludvik Pandur: A Retrospective

On the occasion of the first big retrospective exhibition of Ludvík Pandur's paintings at the UGM, we are preparing an accompanying programme dedicated to an in-depth introduction to the work of the esteemed Maribor painter. For the first time in one place, the exhibition presents the artist's work from his first graduation works to his most recent paintings, some taken down from the easel just a few weeks before the opening of the exhibition. The installation follows a series of cycles, complete thematic and formal wholes, thus offering a journey through the many highlights of the artist's career. The painter's work is characterised by eternal transitions between figure and landscape, between mimetic and abstract, between the lyrical and the epic, between the intimate and the mythological.
