From orange to grapefruit - a selection of gifts from our museum bookshops

Do you remember your grandparents telling you about how flowers and tangerines used to cheer them up in the olden days? Citrus fruits, oranges and mandarins are part of our festive tradition, our link with the Mediterranean and North Africa. And, of course, a source of much-needed vitamins during the dark and cold part of the year.

So this year, gift your loved ones with citrus fruits, and add a piece from our museum bookstore, where we have everything from a postcard of Ivan Kos iconic Girl with an Orange to a Grapefruit book by Japanese-American artist Yoko Ono. In addition to the above, we offer you another new book by artist Jaša with Noah Charney: Making it: the Artist's Survival Guide.

We recommend the book presentations of our major exhibition projects of the last few years, the monograph Impossible Machines by Meta Grgurevič and the brand new catalogue of the EKO 8 Triennial. The UGM Šop sales corner offers unique art soaps by Špela Kobal and colourful paintings by Ilić. The bookstore also offers gift cards for a visit to the gallery for two and the Mean Ant products for children.

Visit us every day from Tuesday to Sunday between 10:00 and 18:00 at Strossmayerjeva 6 in Maribor!
