UGM | Maribor Art Gallery is one of ten project partners of Wom@rts: Women's Equal Share of Presence in the Arts and Creative Industries, co-funded by the EU Creative Europe Programme. The project will be active between 2017 and 2021 with the objective of establishing equal share presence of women in the arts, in terms of recognition, promotion and access to the market.

Artistic residencies took place in September and October as part of the Wom@rts project, in the fields of printmaking, comics & illustrations and lens-based media. Collectively, the partners have selected more than 30 women artists whose works, created in the residencies, will be shown in a roaming exhibition this year, curated by Breda Kolar Sluga, UGM Director. During the next two years, the exhibition will roam the partner cities: Limerick, Ireland; Vilnius, Lithuania; Avilés and Santiago de Compostela, Spain; Angoulême, France; Rijeka, Croatia, with premiere opening in Maribor in the springtime.

The exhibition will be presented in two parts. The first opening is going to take place on 8 March 2019, introducing the following lens-based artists:
