1st & 2nd Round of the Parallel Project photographers' and curators' Exhibition

Between 10th and 16th of September in Zagreb, as part of Organ vida / Organ of Sight Festival, there is Parallel Intersection Exhibition on display. The exhibition is one of the activities on Parallel – European Photo Based Platform. UGM is one out of 18 members joined in the platform with the objective to educate and promote a new generation of European photographers and curators.

Opening of the Paralllel Intersection Exhibition marks the closure of the first and announces the beginning of the second round of activities in the Parallel Project, enabling selected artists and curators to take part in year-round programme of workshops, lectures, exhibitions and mentorship programme. The photographic exhibition will present no less than 52 artworks, coming from 23 artists and 6 curators from the 1st Round of the Project’s activities, and 29 artists and 7 curators from the 2nd Round.

Two Slovenian representatives in the Project will be presented at the exhibition. Andrej Lamut was part of last year’s activities, while Ana Zibelnik is about to start engaging in events of the Parallel Platform. She is a young photographer from Ljubljana, selected for the project from an amazing pool of 700 promising photographers from all over the world. Being part of the project will enable Ana to work with well-known mentors, like Moritz Neumüller, Filipa Valladares, Monica Alcazar-Duarte, Maria Kapajeva, Annika von Hauswolff and Marta Ponsa.
