I'm a painter, Silvester Plotajs Sicoe. I paint and write poems.

Be and find who you are.

The books 1q84 by Haruki Murakami. The movie Honeyland, Ljubomir Stefanov and Tamara Kotevska, 2020.

What do you fear when you create?
The known and repetitive.

What creation tool would I not be able to live without?
Without paintbrushes, a lot of paint, canvases.

What do you consider to be the biggest success of your artistic career so far?
That I make a living with my art.

How do you view the positive or negative critique of your creation?
I accept it all. I don't care.

Philip Guston.

How did the pandemic mark your work?
By painting forbidden mountains.

Silvester Plotajs Sicoe was born on April 12, 1965 in Ljubljana. In 1988 he graduated from Professor Emerik Bernard at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana, where he continued his postgraduate studies in painting with Professor Gustav Gnamuš and in graphics with Professor Lojze Logar. In 1990, he continued his studies with Professor Martin Tissing at the Minerva Academy in Groningen, the Netherlands. He has been working as a freelance artist since 1992. He is the recipient of several awards, including the Rihard Jakopič Award in 2013. He has exhibited in group exhibitions and had many solo exhibitions at home and abroad. He works as a freelance artist in Ljubljana.
