Spontaneous, unpredictable, creative.
Best advice on the art world you've received?
"If you're wrong, map with white and move on." I add to this and camouflage it so that it turns out even better.
Artwork / author / music / movie that has been your favorite lately?
Godfather I, II in III.

What do you fear when you create?
Two left hands. If I insert the thread into the needle with my left hand, it can take quite some time.
What creation tool would I not be able to live without?
Sewing machine and iron.
What do you consider to be the biggest success of your artistic career so far?
The day I decided between two professions and decided on the latter, which I also do now.
How do you view the positive or negative critique of your creation?
Any criticism is a good criticism, even though I don’t like to hear the negative, but it incites and motivates me more to think about my work and correct the matter or stick to my own.
Name an artist that you would like to be compared to.
Albrecht Dürer because he has a better hairstyle.
What do you do in self-isolation?
I took the first week off and decided not to make protective masks. I now research, practice and draw with a sewing machine various illustrations. My canvases are protective masks.
Mira Strnad (b. 1976, Maribor) graduated in Fine Art from Maribor Faculty of Education (2006). Her fields of creative work include unique clothing design and costume design. Recently she created costumes for shows such as Alice in Wonderland, A Midsummer Night's Dream (English Student Theatre, II. gimnazija Maribor), James and the Giant Peach, Martyr (Celje City Theatre), The Dog Logs (Ptuj City Theatre). She designs cholates under the label Miricota, which are available for purchase in her store of the same name on Bavarska 3 in Maribor. She lives and works in Maribor.
