Lecture with guided tour of the exhibition Zoran Mušič and Maribor
UGM, Strossmayerjeva 6
Saturday, 22 January 2022, 11.00

lecturer: Mag. Gojko Zupan, art historian, conservator, art critic

Zoran Mušič, the most internationally renowned artist of Slovenian roots, has been closely associated with our city Maribor for more than 20 years. Therefore, the period between 1920-1940, when he lived in or regularly returned to this city, which is almost completely unknown in Mušič's biography, can also be called "Mušič's Maribor period". Where did Mušič live, while he was attending school, who did he hang out with, where did he travel to ... and why did he return to our city again and again during this time ... will be revealed to us by a good expert on Mušič's Slovenian biography, mag. Gojko Zupan, who is passionate about researching the artist's little-known roots.

The image material for the identification of Maribor streets and buildings was selected in cooperation with the Primož Premzl Art Cabinet.

We invite you to share with us your knowledge and documentation related to Mušič's life in Maribor. We would be delighted if you could bring your material to the lecture or write to us at blagajnaping@ugmpong.si.

Registration is required. Please send your application to blagajnaping@ugmpong.si. Places are limited. The lecture and guided tour are free of charge on payment of an entrance price 3€.

Attendance is possible in accordance with the PCT protocol. The program will be conducted in accordance with the instructions of the NIPH.
