Lecture by: Toma Plejić, cofounder of Studio UP and Damir Gamulin, designer

Architects Toma Plejić and Lea Pelivan established Studio UP in 2003. The Zagreb-based architectural bureau concerns itself with contemporary architecture and urbanism. With its projects Studio UP presents itself at international exhibitions: Venice Biennale (2004 and 2010), Rotterdam Biennial (2005 and 2007) and at Shenzhen & Hong Kong Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism and Architecture (2011-12). In 2009 they won Mies van der Rohe Award - Emerging Architect Special Mention for Gymnasium in Koprivnica, Croatia. The most interesting projects of Studio UP are: hostel Golly&Bossy, Split (2010), P10 mix use building, Split (2009) and Spectator Group Business Building, Zagreb (2009). Graphic designer Damir Gamulin collaborates with Studio UP as a typographer.

Architect Toma Plejić (Rijeka, 1977) graduated at the Faculty of Architecture in Zagreb (2001) and established Studio UP, which has received several awards for its work. Graphic designer Damir Gamulin (Split, 1974), founder of studio DGD, collaborates with cultural and other institutions (e. g. Museum of Modern and contemporary art, Rijeka, Zagreb Airport).
