Maribor Art Gallery, in collaboration with Puppet theatre Maribor and Konj theatre invites children, parents, brothers and sisters, grandparents, aunts and uncles, to join our creative guided tour of the puppet, drawings and automatons exhibition from the famous puppeteer Silvan Omerzu in UGM Studio. After the short guided tour, we will walk to the exhibition place in the basement of the Minoriti church, where we are going to meet puppeteers and coworkers from Puppet theatre Maribor. We will conclude the tour with a short art and puppet workshop.

Silvan Omerzu (1955) is a theatre director, an artist and one of the most recognisable Slovenian puppeteers. For hiw work, Omerzu received fourteen international awards, twelve slovenian awards and an award of Peršeren fund in 2006. Besides puppeteering, Omerzu also got involved in painting, graphics, drawings, illustration, ceramics and poster design. He also experiments with different materials, such as wood, yarn and steel. This year, two of his shows ranked into the competition of Puppet masters of Slovenia: Dream of a Star (Puppet theatre Maribor) and Karl's Stories (Ljubljana puppet theatre).
