The finest in Hammond Organ Jazz. The Afro Lounge Brothers have a 15 year year history of playing everything from weddings to funerals. The two musicians from New Zealand and Serbia met whilst studying in Cologne and have expanded their repertoire to include blues, country, and soul. Their shows are always unique and encompass the full history of jazz. In Maribor they will be accompanied by John Schröder, who will play guitar in bass for his debut with the band.

Pedja Avramovic comes from a musical family in the Serbian town of Niš. He first completed is music degree with honors studying oboe under the mentorship of Christian Schneider at the Cologne Music Academy. After his studies he began work in the field of recording and sound engineering and soon opened his first studio. He has since become one of Cologne's most sought after sound engineers and regularly records also at the P4 studios in Berlin and at the prestigious Sendesaal in Bremen. Over the years he has replaced the oboe as his main instrument with the Hammond organ. Together with Hayden Chisholm, he formed the group Afro Lounge Brothers which features the two multi-instrumentalists in a variety of musical genres.

Hayden Chisholm continued his music studies in Japan in India after studying in Cologne with a DAAD scholarship. In 1995 he developed a radical new microtonal system for saxophone which he revealed on his debut solo CD "Circe". Since then, his compositions have been recorded by BBC and WDR radios and he has toured and recorded extensively  with the likes of Root70, WDR Big Band, Musikfabrik Ensemble, and David Sylvian. He has created music for several Rebecca Horn installations as well as composing scores for her films. He has taught at Universities throughout the world and gives yearly master classes in Greece. He is the author of one of Germany's most popular music and travel blogs: softspeakers.com. He curates the annual Plushmusic festival in Cologne and Bremen.

John Schröder is one of  the most well known Geman jazz multi-instrumentalists. He plays guitar and drums. Currently he focuses on piano, in Maribor he will play guitar in bass for his debut with the Afro Lounge Brothers.
