This year as well we are celebrating the International Museum Day on the 18th of May. The theme of IMD 2020 is: " Museums for Exuality: Diversity and Inclusion".
Maribor Art Gallery is prepairing a diverse program on the International Museum Day. We invite all modern and contemporary art enthusiasts to visit the Gallery for Peace exhibition, the Ivan Kos and his Masterpiece Girl with an Orange (UGM Kabinet) and Grandheroes (UGM Šop).

On the International Museum Day, we invite the elders to a virtual gathering us02web.zoom.us/j/89947369080 and learning about fine arts. We will present you works of art from the UGM Collection with motifs of the table and hanging out at the table. We will take a look at the bourgeois family Vidic drinking tea from 1902 and walk to various tables all the way to Žiga Kariž's modern multimedia installation. Getting to know such art will also be an opportunity to share our experiences and tips for hanging out at the table
You can also visit our UGM Šop - museum shop and choose from postcards, leaflets, catalogs and UGM publications. Only on this day will there be a special offer for the Mean Ant set! If you buy a bag of Mean Ant and another product from the collection - the third product will be for free. On this day the set of the Mean Ant (bag + poster + badge) costs only 9 EUR. In accordance with the instructions of the NIJZ (National Institute of Public Health), browsing for publications and touching products is not allowed.
