Art Galery Maribor joins the Festival of Photography Maribor 2016 with an organization of in-dept workshop photography, held by international recognized photographer Klavdij Sluban. The main aim of the workshop is supporting and directing in particular project by the consideration of individual interest and specific personal expression. At the end of workshop all the photos will be presented at the exhibition or projection at Art Galery Maribor.
Program of the workshop for the first term on Saturday and Sunday 22 and 23 October 2016 includes:
o presentation of the photos, viewing of portfolios in group and constructive critic,
o directions in a way of recognizing of authors visual language and following tasks for the next stage o considerating the concept 'series' of photos and definition of the following stage.
Program of the workshop for the second term on Saturday and Sunday 10 and 11 December 2016 includes:
o viewing of photos in the field of defined aims, constructive critic and direction and
o consideration about format and the kind of implementation (exhibition, installation, photo book, presentation).
Price: 280 EUR for employees and 180 EUR for pupils, students, retired persons, UGM Club Members and members of the Fotoklub Maribor. You can appy if you are proffesional or amateur photographer. You need to be commited to photography.
IMPORTANT!
Every participant must add between 30 and 50 photos or sets of photos. Don't bring your photos onto e-carrier. The number of the participants must not be over 15. It must be made preliminary application till 17 October 2016. The application is valid by the payment at the The Ticket Office UGM between the opening time of UGM or onto TRR number SI56 0127 0603 0358 319 - with attribution ' For photo workshop'. Klavdij Sluban (b. 1963) is a French photographer with slovenian roots. He gained the world wide attention (public and critics) with his completely personal approach within photographical praxis. His works are seen all over world's museums and galleries. From 1995 he is active in his workshops with young prisoners. He has received some important world awards for photography, like European Publishers Award for Photography (EPAP, 2009),Niepece Award (2000), which is the most important French award for photography and the Leica Awards (2004).
