Alen Ožbolt will introduce the genesis of Rebecca Horn's opus and emphasize the dialogue between her and artworks by guest artists. The exhibition Maribor Project / Rebecca Horn & Guests is designed as an intercultural project that includes the works of renowned German artist Rebecca Horn and selected works of five guest artists Matthias Deumlich, Ali Kaaf, Antonio Paucar, Jakob Schaible and Markus Wüste. Employing different material and techniques, all five artists have developed a strong individual artistic language in order to reflect their subjective perception of aesthetic, societal and historical subject matters. The exhibition visualizes and emphasizes the multifaceted and interconnected layers of material and aesthetic references between works.
