Kindly invited to join Gaja Golija, exhibition curator, as she takes you on a grand opening tour of the retrospective exhibition of Bojan Golija's artwork.
Bojan Golija (1932-2014) was a devoted graphic artist and art educator. With an inexhaustible creative zeal and incredible diligence, he explored and experimented with the expressive possibilities of printmaking techniques, and as "the father of Maribor graphic arts", like he had been called, continued to pass his knowledge with great enthusiasm onto younger generations. With over 150 prints, drawings, and photographs, Bojan Golija's retrospective at the Maribor Art Gallery highlights the so far unexposed complexity of his creative work, and provides for the first time an integral evaluation of his opus, which comprises around 4.000 art works, created during more than six decades of the artist's career.
